Week beginning 21st Jan 2019, we welcomed parents from Y1 to Y6 into our classrooms.

The morning of 4th of December 2018, was of great fun and excitement; Land of Learning hosted the fourth annual Maths inter-school competition!

Students had a week wherein the focus was to study Islamic art in detail. Students were encouraged to express themselves and appreciate Allah’s beauty through art.

We recently held an anti-bullying week. Each year group looked at different types of bullying and discussed the effects bullying can have on a person.

We celebrated unity through Diversity during our Diversity week on 15/10/18.

Well done to Land of Learning to be crowned Spelling Bee 2018 Champions for Upper Key Stage 2. Our children competed against 3 other schools. Staff from other schools and our judge PC Wandless were very impressed by the standard and appreciated all the hard work we put in to organise the event.

Week beginning 26th February everyone at Land of Learning took part in lots of exciting and brilliant activities during Book Week 2018. During the week we based all our learning around a book called “Journey” by Aaron Becker. It is a story that has no words and children had to use their imagination to create scenarios in their classroom.

We have achieved our Heritage Schools Award. Children of Land of Learning worked as local history detectives and explored the local environment. We shared our findings, historical artefacts and evidence with our parents and other schools during the History EXPO. Mr Dale guided us in our journey to become a Heritage School.

Well done to Land of Learning for beating 5 other schools in the inter-school maths competition. Judges Ms Shahida Chowdhury and Mr Phillip Wandless were very impressed by the standards of all pupils during the event.

Week beginning 27th November we had mega maths fun at our school. Children participated in logical reasoning workshop. The week culminated in every class showcasing their solution to the maths challenges set at the start of the week.
