Big Booky Bake Off: Pupils baked cakes in school and took part in the sale to raise money for educational projects. All this took place while pupils were dressed in pyjamas and had a hot chocolate.
West End in Schools – Story Explorer: Pupils took part in a theatrical workshop whereby pupils used drama and storytelling to perform a story and bring it ‘alive’ The following stories were performed: ‘The Rainbow Fish’, ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ and ‘Matilda’.
Pupils also celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite character.
Book Week ended with our very first Poetry By Heart competition! Starting from Nursery to Year 6, pupils memorised and performed a poem by heart in front of the whole school and our special judges – PCSO Wandless and PCSO Akhtar . This great event allowed pupils to unearth their hidden talent and discover their love for performance poetry.
