Hadith of the Week

Rasulullah ﷺ said, “Be kind to your neighbour and you will be a (complete) mu’min.” [Tirmidhi]

Our Nursery

Foundation One (F1) is the integral and invigorating first stage of a child’s Academic journey. It is the core of where the groundwork is laid for your child’s holistic developmental growth to be expanded and nurtured, ready for school and society. Our extremely commodious setting ensures there is ample space for consistent stimulating and challenging activities, engaging children in learning through play and hands on experience.

As well as engrossing our children with our fabulous indoor provision, we provide a sensational outdoor learning environment. This ensures our impressively incredible catalogue of learning is always fun and accessible for all children’s needs. This is reflected through our Pedagogy of creating a more naturally calm and inviting environment, incorporating the EYFS Curriculum to provide opportunities for children to always extend their learning.

Children are encouraged to build relationships, gain new skills, think outside the box, be resilient and most importantly always enjoy their time in F1. We are always working in Partnership with Parents, communicating regularly providing knowledge and support to ensure children gain the best possible outcomes.

Our rich learning environment provides continuous opportunities for children to effectively learn through play. Once we have spent time getting to know and settling children in, there is a gradual incline into forming more structured phonics lessons, activities, reading and writing sessions.

To achieve our high standards of teaching and learning, we have adopted the ‘Curiosity Approach’ method of learning.

The Curiosity Approach favours calm and tranquil spaces, rather than the more traditional, bright and busy early years environments. We aim to empower children by laying down the foundations for the future and to instill lifelong love of learning. Educating our children by bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into our setting and creating the ‘thinkers and doers’ of the future.

Humans are created by Allah SWT from earth and our eternal abode is this. It is in the natural Fitra – the state of purity and innocence, of children to follow adults as their role models which in turn pleases our Creator. Therefore there is a natural inclination towards nature, and we aim to provide and inspire children with this opportunity as it connects us to our creator.

The Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. In order to ensure this our recruitment and selection policy is in accordance with local and national guidelines.

Our Team

We place great value on having highly qualified, experienced Nursery Practitioners and a professional staff team in our Nursery. Children who attend The Land of Learning Nursery benefit also from the higher than average staff: pupil ratio that we are able to provide.

It also means that for those children who have special educational needs we are able to provide high-quality, consistent and often one-to-one support throughout the Nursery stage.

Every staff member is qualified to a minimum level 3 and we have a fully qualified teacher who supports the team. Our staff are also fully trained in paediatric first aid.
