The children recently took part in ‘climate action fortnight’ organised by the Leicester city council, during which they each chose a different climate emergency focus, researched on it, and then created a presentation on their chosen topic. Together with that, walking to school is actively encouraged. Daily journeys to school are logged by teachers on an interactive Travel Tracker ‘WOW walker’, accessed through the class computer, which rewards children who walk, scoot, cycle or park and stride to school at least once a week with a monthly badge. We hope that through these initiatives, our children will grow up to be environment conscious individuals.
