The activities reinforced the life skills of a growth mindset and determination. The day begun with kata canoeing where students were challenged physically and learnt the importance of team work. Fortunately, even though many of them returned dripping wet, they did not allow this to dampen their mood. They took their competitive nature with them when they participated in the go karting track. Students raced up the steep hills and along the winding roads and were able to enjoy the scenery of the forest. They enjoyed the wind in their hair and reached top speeds during the final descent from the highest point of the hill. During the final activity students supported each other to overcome their fears and complete the low ropes course which involved nine different obstacles in the sky. Throughout the day students positively represented the school and demonstrated the core values of Land of Learning proudly, which was also witnessed by the general public too. This day enabled us to end the year on a positive note and provided students and staff with eternal memories that will be cherished dearly.
