STEM trips this year were plenty, including a trip to the eco-friendly masjid in Cambridge, the think Tank science museum in Birmingham, as well as more local trips to the Botanical gardens, Brocks Hill Park, and a visit to Madani school science labs. In addition to the exciting trips and Expo preparation, classrooms were buzzing with STEM related activities, from lava-lamp making, to creating edible slime, making their own robo-bees, to crafting their very own drones.
The aim of STEM this year was to motivate our children to think outside the box and to challenge themselves to grow as individuals in their skills and knowledge. This was shown excellently with the Expo displayed by our children at the end of stem fortnight.
The nursery hall was transformed into an impressive Science Expo jam packed with various sections prepared by the children, from sound travel experiments to samples of honeycomb, an eye-catching lab coat display to mini home-grown gardens.
Our parents and visitors were thoroughly impressed with the outstanding Expo that was showcased by our children. Well done you made us all so proud! We were overwhelmed by the number of parents that attended and are grateful for all your positive comments and participation in the exhibits.
