Our STEM week was jam-packed with a variety of engaging activities, from designing their own weather apps to creating a 3-in-1 eco-friendly robot cleaner, a virtual tour of the science museum, to an exciting lab coat competition. Children were taken on a virtual tour of the eco mosque in Cambridge, the first and only mosque in the U.K. which has been fully built with their carbon foot print in mind. Together with that, our children learnt about the fascinating history of the Muslim contribution to the STEM world, through the likes of Ibn Sina and his contribution to the world of medicine, Al Khwarizmi and his invention of algebra, etc. Children were also given the opportunity to virtually join a Q&As session with professionals of STEM backgrounds such as well-known Youtuber SuperSaf, (famous for his technology reviews channel) opening their eyes to a whole new avenue of STEM career options for their futures.
