On Friday 11th December, six Commanding Officers from The British Army came to visit the school. They spoke to the children about their core values which proved to be similar to the values that we instill in our children at Land of Learning. The officers gave the children a brief insight into their lives of serving the army. They informed the children of the types of jobs that some of the officers do. It was interesting to see that within the army, Muslims also play a vital role. Along with the officers was Imam Asim Hafiz who is the Islamic Religious Advisor of the British Army. The children were very excited and were eager to ask questions to the officers about how they decided to take a career path in the army. In turn, the officers had a chance to look around the mosque and learn a little more about Islam.
‘Their behaviour was impeccable…Your children are a credit to you and all the staff at Land of Learning Primary School’
